From first measure to installed
Four stages, no surprises
You pay 40% to start drawings and the balance the week before delivery. Nothing is cut until you've signed off the drawing.

Stage 01
Measure & survey
A maker visits, measures the room, checks doorways and stair turns, and photographs the light through the day.

Stage 02
Drawing & samples
You get a scaled drawing, three timber samples and two fabric options posted to you. Two revisions included.
7–10 days -
Stage 03
Workshop build
Cut, joined, sanded to 240 grit and hand-oiled. We send progress photos at frame and finish stage.
6–9 weeks -
Stage 04
Delivery & install
Two makers deliver, assemble in place, level the feet and take the packaging away with them.

Three materials, chosen once
We keep the material list short so we know exactly how each one ages, repairs and repeats across a room.
FSC European oak
Air-dried 18 months · 8–10% MC
Straight-grain boards from managed forests, rested in our own racks before they're cut so the piece stays flat through a heating season.
Wool bouclé & flat-weave
Martindale 40,000+ · removable
Upholstery in undyed and low-dye wool. Every cover is cut with a spare metre stored under your order number for future repairs.
Hand-oiled finish
Three coats · refresh at home
A plant-oil hardwax finish instead of lacquer. Scratches sand out with the small repair kit that ships with every piece.
